Privacy Policy

Jackfish Creative is a design studio based in Vancouver, British Columbia. This page explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If you have any questions, email us at hello@jackfishcreative.ca.

What we collect

When you fill out our contact form. We collect your name, company name, email address, phone number, the type of business and project you choose, and any notes you write. We only use this to reply to you and to talk about your project.

When you use the form in the footer. The company name and email you type are kept in your own browser for the current visit only, so they can be filled in on the contact page for you. Nothing is sent to us until you submit the contact form.

When you browse the site. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited, how long people stay, what kind of device they use, and roughly where they are visiting from (city or region, not an exact location). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We don't use this information to identify you personally.

Basic server logs. Like most websites, our host keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

Who helps us run the site

We use a few trusted services to run this website:

• Netlify hosts the website.
• Web3Forms delivers contact form submissions to our email.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used.

These services may store or process information outside of Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

What we don't do

We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to work with you and keep proper business records. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our Google Analytics account.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@jackfishcreative.ca. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
